Bleach revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki and Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki, who one night mysteriously appears in Ichigo's bedroom. While they have a conversation, a "hollow," or evil spirit, attacks them. Rukia, unable to defeat it, transfers half her powers to Ichigo in order to let him help her. Unintentionally, however, Ichigo absorbs most of her powers. He manages to defeat the hollow with ease, but now Rukia is stranded as a normal human. The following episodes depict the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia, and ultimately, their fate.
