The first Kiddy Grade was one of my all time favorites. I find both Eclair and Lumiere compelling heroines.
The art is some of the most astounding I have ever seen.
I am waiting impatiently to see the new series.
Has anyone heard when it will be released? Have you seen any other trailers?

It's made by GONZO, and if we know anything about GONZO...they can be a bit slow when it comes to animating sequels...=.=...(Burst Angel's OVA was only one episode long, yet it took them almost a year past the original release date to finally finish it)
It was suppossed to be released in 2007 in Japan, but...still not out...>.< Hopefully it won't be too much longer now, though, because it looks amazing (although honestly it doesn't look as good as the first season, but that may just be because I'm unsure of Ascule and Que Feuilles). But as far as a final release date...I've been looking for it for a while, trust me, and I still haven't found it. >.< (I love GONZO, but honestly, they anger me sometimes...)

I saw that trailer way back when and it looks really good. Although I'll be sorry to see that Lumiere and Eclair won't be the main characters. Still that does give us a chance to bond with these new characters.
I only hope they don't fall short.

Yeah, that's my main concern, otherwise I'd be full on-board for it. It just makes me a little iffy...=.=...Like with Yu-Gi-Oh, how they switched old characters for new ones people don't like as much (although that was a little different, since those characters had been around for so long). But Eclair and Lumiere were such loved characters, but hopefully Ascule and Que Feuilles can live up to their expectations! x3

The sequel is being animated by asread, not Gonzo.

There has never been an official airdate announced. The only date given thus far was for the promo DVD (May 25th 2007), anything else is guesswork.
On the subject of guesswork, AT-X are starting reruns of the original series today (or around now anyway, never been good with timezones) and should finish in October, just in time for the Autumn anime season... and it happens that both Kiddy Grade and Uta Kata started their runs in October (2002 and 2004 respectively).
