What's the deal with pictures from Deviant Art? I have seen that they are mostly deleted and I know pictures on DA are under copyright but some are under a creative commons licence.
So what's the deal with DA works under creative commons? Is it ok as long as the work is correctley attributed (credited) or do we have to get the artists permission to post it as a promotional piece or are all pictures off DA under a blanket ban? (excluding a member's own artwork, naturally)

If you have permission from the artist in particular or are the artist particular, then you're allowed to post them up if you credit them. That's pretty much the ONLY exception to the rule.

You're not allowed to post deviantArt works at all, whether you have the artist's permission or not.
If they have another, personal website, however; you can credit to that.

No, no admin input is needed. You cannot post deviantART work. It is as black, and white as that.

From what I learn so far , DA is like Pixiv , and I believe that someone had already stated about this thing (Mainly about Pixiv) .
Artworks that come from DA is not allowed to be posted here , I believe , eventhough you got the permission to do so . Unless the artist themselves decided to post their artwork here , then that's allowed .
Am I right ?

DA art is not allowed because it would mainly fall under the fanart rule, which is that only the original artist can post it.
You cannot post DA art with permission because there is no way we can actually verify it.
However, as Siris said, if the artist has a personal website you can credit that.
