My favorite character is also Light, but I won't get into my reasons why for fear of being targeted by angry fangirls.

However, though Light is my favorite character, I also love L and Mello and Near and all the other Wammy kids. :3 I'm no Wammy hater! And aww, Mikami's not on the list! D:

I don't like Misa much.

My favorite would have to be Matsuda. He's awesome; that's all there is to it.

I like L best, personally. Though Light is a close second.
Misa isn't even on the list. She blows chunks.

I liked L best and then Near as a close second. I liked what Light was doing, I just didn't like how he was doing it, so he didn't quite make the cut.

I also loved Li--WAUGH. Raito--I prefer that. And L.

I hate Misa.

I pretty much liked everyone but Misa.

I can't choose between Light, L, or Near. I love all of 'em D:

You know, in the beginning, Misa gave off that "blonde bimbo" aura, but she turned out to be useful. Which is strange. For some One Piece fans out there, she's a lot like Perona.

I like Raito best. Ryuuk a close second.
Misa didn't really bother me. She was just there.
L was a bit overrated.

Ryuk was awesome. :D

I liked pretty much all of the characters to some degree [apart from a few (mostly female) characters] but I think my favourites would have to be Mello, L and Light.

I never liked Near very much, I don't know why though. He probably didn't have enough personality for me.

I liked Raito/Light probably the best. I also liked L though.

I hated Misa. I thought she was annoying and stupid. When my boyfriend told me he thought she was hot I got angry because I don't know how he could have such bad taste, imo; however he read the manga rather than watching the anime like me. Apparently she's a lot less annoying in the manga?
