What death in an anime affected you the most?
For me it was Chrono and Rossette in Chrono Crusade. I don't think I cried so hard in an anime. I've cried a lot in Elfen Lied but I didn't cry so hard as I did in Chrono Crusade.

Edited my post to make it less spoiler-ific for those who have not seen enough of the Code Geass series...
SPOILER WARNING.
Rolo and Lelouch in Code Geass. I've never cried so much during an anime. ;w;
... AND END SPOILER.

Even though it says spoilers in the title this is hardly a good topic to have around the place. A warning isn't going to stop everyone reading this and may spoil shows for alot of people.

I dunno if any of them DIDN'T effected me. I'm a bruiser on the outside but not on the inside! XD Just kidding, but I think the death that affected me the most was...
Spike from Cowboy Bebop.
Nina from FMA. (Almost all deaths there had me bawling...even the ones I didn't like.)
There's a lot...and you made me chose gonenuts! Darn you.

Spike's still alive!!! well in my heart he is. And Nina was my favorite character so... imagine how much i cried.
I still cry whenever i see Hughe's funeral. Oh my gosh... if not in the beginning, when Elicia starts telling her mom to stop the soldiers from burying him.

Gai: That's their problem.
For me, what ^LightYagami said. I was so sad when the series was over and Light died. Especially L. A few people might still remember when I went straight to AA and cried about it ;D

It doesn't matter how many times I watch Samurai X Reflection, just watching Kenshin die....it tears at my heart. I always finding myself crying. And in the end...I'm laying on the floor soaked in my own tears.

I haven't really cried over deaths in anime, but some are really sad:
Ryofu in Ikki Tousen: Her best friend has been raped and murdered, and she's slowly dying. Her boss has betrayed her, and with nothing left, she takes him out ina final suicide attack.
Wolfwood in Trigun: It just isn't fair for someone to die believing everything they did may have been a mistake. The scene as Wolfwood prays one last time in a little church is really touching.
Vegeta: First time Vegeta dies, it's a Frieza's hands. he relays the story of the Saiyans and how he was used by Frieza. It's a humbling moment, and it shows Vegeta with emotions other than cruel enjoyment or anger of some kind. It goes a long way to making him one of the eventual heroes.
Second time, Vegeta has been pummelled by Majin Buu, and he's been found by Goten and Trunks. Vegeta wakes up, his mind quietly set on what he has to do. He embraces his son one last time, then knocks both boys out so they don't have to see what is coming. He unleashes a powerful energy attack with all his life behind it to try and defeat Buu."I do this for you, Bulma, and Trunks... and yes, even you, Kakarot..."

Most character deaths affect me, I've only cried over a few though [I think they may have all been from Naruto. o.o].
Spoilers ahead!
I don't know if I can list all of the deaths I've seen in anime though the ones from Naruto that got me the most were definitely: Haku, Zabuza, Itachi and Jiraiya because I loved those characters. D:
Spoilers gone!

Has anyone seen Elfen Lied? Now there's a series, even a short one, that can't be beaten in gruesome death.
edit: [v] RT, we don't have eagle eyes. We can't read that. Why don't you.. Super-Size it?

*Raises hand* Yeah, I saw it. Still trying to figure out who all dies... Besides, that isn't the anime that affected me the most.
I'm sure you're all sick of this, but School Days still is number one for me... And I bet people will disagree when I say that I felt the most sorrow when
Spoiler
Sekai died.
End Spoiler
But this is just me...

Yes that was quite a moving scene. It was after seeing that scene that I first began to respect the Saiyan Prince.
