Meet the Advanced Anime Team

Ben has been involved in anime and web development since 2000. In his spare time, he dances Lindy Hop, Blues, and Argentine Tango. He also enjoys soccer, travelling abroad, creative cooking, and socks. When working on AA, he most often listens to obscure electronica. Although he no longer watches much anime, he still enjoys the work of Hayao Miyazaki.

Ben has recently graduated Portland State University with Magna Cum Laude honors, a degree in Marketing, and a certificate in International Business.

Elven graduated from University of the Cumberlands in May 2010. Currently she is looking for a job, hopefully in the librarian field, and waiting to go to grad school. She is 22 years old and is from a small town with no stop lights. She hopes to live in the same area forever.

She spends the majority of her free time writing fanfics for various fandoms, listening to random selections of music and chatting with friends. Oh and RPing, she loves to RP... but only with certain people.

Elven loves music. She listens to a very random selection all the time. She loves experiencing new music. Elven also loves to read, which inspires her need to be a librarian, you can find what she has and is currently reading listed in her Mini-Blog.

Jent is married to phatcrux989, a retired sub-admin on this site. They met here and can attribute their happiness to having joined AdvancedAnime. Growing up in Nebraska, she moved to California in recent years, and is currently working in a pharmacy. Her hobbies generally include video games, listening to music, and keeping up with current events. Fashion in general is an admitted guilty pleasure. She aspires to one day do something she can be proud of with her skills in art. She loves to travel and hopes to see much of the world in her lifetime.

Some of her favorite musical artists include Idan Raichel, Jay Chou, Daft Punk and The Cardigans.

Jent has collected many manga over the years. Some of her favorites include GTO, Battle Royale, Peach Girl and Paradise Kiss.

Khellamendra is a 21 year old college student who is currenlty studying Computer Multimedia and Desgin. She has recently celebrated her second year as a waitress but hopes to move on to better things soon. When she is not on AA she generally fills her time with writing and messing with HTML, though she is also an avid RPG fan who loves to play D&D the most. She has been a fan of anime since the late 80's, long before it was given it's own category. She has been an avid fan, always finding new and interesting anime.

Khellamendra has been a member of this site since Dec 31, 2003 and plans to stay for a while. She is eager to see the direction it will go in the future.

Ladyfyreyes is a 47 year old would be writer. She hopes to soon have her first novel published. She writes fantasy, Sci-fi and Role playing games. She is currently working on a game called "the Kingdoms" and a novel "A Cry in the Dark". She has been an avid fan of anime since the early 80’s when she was introduced to it at a gaming convention. She enjoys most all anime as long as it has a plot and the art is good. Other interest includes RPG’s, reading, writing, drawing and learning everything. She is currently teaching herself how to draw anime style.

Ladyfyreyes joined the site in July of 2004, after visiting it since August 2002. She is looking forward to watching the AA community grow.

Moosandra has been a member of the site for 8 years and is 27 years old. Best known for her stubbornness, she has a tendency to disagree with many things and prefers her own way. Don't try to make sense of it. ;)

In anime, she is not greatly familiar with most of it, she does enjoy looking at a lot of the pictures and among her favorite artists is Tony Taka. She hasn't seen too many Animes and simply has no interest in keeping up with most mainstream series, she does like Burst Angel, Ouran HSHC and Weiss Kruez.

Other hobbies tend to fall under the categories of geekdom. Comic books, role-playing, World of Warcraft, fan fiction writing and of course Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (although, that may not be as geeky as the rest). She also likes to listen to music and enjoys some TV series.

Oh and Coca Cola is superior to Pepsi.
