Well, here it is Monday Evening on 4/19 Time seems to be flying by faster and faster. This past Saturday afternoon I was able to make it to the last planning meeting for Anime Detour ( a fan run Anime convention here in Minneapolis). I have been attending Every Anime Detour Convention since 2000! and this looks to be the best one yet!!

I have been looking forward to it ever since the last one ( Last April!). Now I have been told that we here in Minnesota have a very special convention because Anime Detour is a fan based convention Run by anime fans for anime fans! ( by the way Minneapolis is also host to the CONvergence Science Fiction and Fantisy convention which always is now a $ day convention over the 4 th of July Holiday Weekend and that is Also a Fan run convention!!)

So far I have just been attending local Minnesota conventions so I have never experienced a corporate run convention. From what I have been told they are VERY different!! Many of the Anime Detour Guest of Honor keep telling us that Anime Detour is one of the most fun conventions they have ever attended. Some of our past guests of honor that keep returning year after year are voice actors Greg Ayers, his brother Cris Ayers and Carrie Savage ( there are a number of others but I can't remember their names at this moment (Yes, I do have senior moments every so often)

Anime Detour will be having 5 different Vidio rooms running from Friday thru Sunday - Non-stop so I am going to be one of several volenteers helping to keep the vidio rooms running friday night. I am also going to help with man one of the Badging stations on Saturday Morning.
